Growexx is seeking an OCI Consultant/Administrator, having extensive experience in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) administration and a strong understanding of cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities  

  •  Manage and administer OCI environments including tenancy setup, Virtual Cloud Network (VCN) configuration, compartmentalization, and network security.  
  • Design, deploy, and optimize OCI solutions across Compute, Storage (Block and Object), Networking, Database (DBSys, ATP, ADW), and other OCI services as required. 
  • Develop and maintain Terraform scripts for automating infrastructure deployment and configuration management on OCI.  
  • Perform tuning, capacity planning, and resource optimization to ensure high availability, scalability, and cost efficiency of OCI deployments.  
  • Implement and manage OCI security best practices, including IAM policies, roles, and permissions. Handle OS and application-level security patches and updates. 
  • Design and implement HA and DR solutions in OCI environments to ensure business continuity and data protection.  
  •  Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting mechanisms. Proactively monitor OCI resources and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal performance and availability. 
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, SOPs, and operational guidelines. Ensure compliance with organizational policies and industry regulations. 
  • Follow ITIL-based practices for incident, change, problem, and configuration management. Respond to and resolve incidents within defined SLAs. 
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including infrastructure, application development, testing, and release management teams. Provide technical guidance and support as needed. 

Key Skills

  • Handling complete Infrastructural (IaaS) landscape that includes Designing and Implementing OCI solutions across a variety of services, including Compute, Marketplace resources, Block Storage, Object Storage, Backup and Restore, Networking, IPSec VPN, Web Application Firewall, Remote Peering, Load Balancer, Cloud Guard, and many more.  
  • Exposure to using code repository like GIT.  
  • Experience in Handling Certificate renewals at OCI.  
  • Should be well verse with ITIL based service delivery for Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, Capacity Management, Configuration Management. 
  • On-premises to Cloud migration, Gen1 to Gen2 OCI migration of complete IaaS landscape. 
  • Provisioning OIC and support regarding Private access Via IPsec and Specific IPs. 
  • Provisioning and support of FAW instance, EBS cloud manager. 
  • Demonstrated expertise in optimizing OCI deployments for cost-efficiency and performance, utilizing services like Auto Scaling and Load Balancing. 
  • Perform patching, and security updates, and make configuration changes to cloud instances. 
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for OCI environments, with a deep understanding of monitoring, logging, and alerting capabilities. 
  • Clearance of all Service requests and Incidents within TAT on Service Now.  
  • Host, virtual machines, client’s system management. 
  • Create and maintain technical documentation to ensure efficient planning and execution. 

Education & Experience

  • 3 – 7 years of relevant experience to this position with  
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).  
  • Proven experience as an OCI Administrator or similar role with in-depth knowledge of OCI services and architecture.  
  • Hands-on experience with Terraform or similar infrastructure-as-code tools.  
  • Strong understanding of cloud security principles and best practices.  
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation (e.g., Python, Shell scripting).  
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for OCI environments.  
  • Experience with ITIL framework and service delivery practices.  
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and stakeholders. 
  •  Oracle certifications (e.g., Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect, OCI Developer, OCI Operations Associate) are a plus.
